Chandler Public Library is partnering with the Arizona State Library on the AZ Read 250 Challenge, encouraging residents of all ages to read 25 books of their choice. The challenge is available at all four Chandler Public Library locations.

Many of us remember learning in school that Betsy Ross was asked by General George Washington to create the first American flag. Modern scholars have called this beloved story into question. Join Museum Manager Jody Crago as he sifts through fact and fiction and learn how interesting Betsy Ross and her life in Revolutionary Philadelphia actually is.

Celebrate summer reading and America's 250th birthday by joining us at Hamilton Library to paint a patriotic painting of America's national bird: the majestic bald eagle. Registration is required, adults only.

Drop in for our June meeting of the Mystery Round Table book group for an American-history themed read. “The Girl from Greenwich Street” by Lauren Willig is based on the true story of America’s first murder trial, which forced bitter rivals Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr to work together to save a man from the gallows.
